The Tajh Boyd chronicles

CLEMSON - In this week's diary, Tajh Boyd shares his thoughts about last week's heartbreaking loss at Georgia Tech and the weekend around college football as he looks ahead to Saturday's game against Boston College.

At first, towards the beginning of the game when they were scoring all the points, it was pretty disappointing for a minute. I know the type of players we've got and coach (Billy) Napier was calling some great plays. I knew it was only a matter of time before we got back on top.

The feel of the game was exciting. I think when the fans were booing the players got riled up a little bit and ready to go. I think we've got a special team though.

I didn't think it was going to be as loud as it was. I wasn't expecting too much from it. It was kind of a shocker when we got there to see how loud it was. We've still got a lot of work to do. But everything is going to work out.

There weren't too many conversations (riding home). Everyone was pretty much laid back. I think we know what we're capable of. For me, it was kind of hard to sit there and watch. But I'm just learning as much as I can right now.

I watched SC-Ohio State, the Georgia-South Carolina game and the Michigan and Notre Dame game.

I enjoyed the Michigan-Notre Dame game more than SC-Ohio State game which was kind of dragging a little bit although there was a bunch of talent on the field though.

Tate (Forcier) went out there and lit it up for Michigan. I've met (Matt) Barkley and I know Tate personally. I knew Tate was going to be a pretty good player. But to come out as a true freshman and step up to the plate like he did, I think he's going to be a really good player.

I didn't think the South Carolina and Georgia game was going to be as good as it was. South Carolina is not a sorry team. They've got some pretty good players out there and they're developing everyday too. They should have a pretty good season. I'm still getting to know (the rivalry with South Carolina) but I've heard it's ridiculous.

(Looking ahead to this week) Boston College is a physical team. They're really strong and fundamentally sound. They've got a good coaching staff. We're just going to go prepare like we do for anybody else. If we go out and execute we should be fine.

I watched them a lot last year. That's when I was considering Boston College still. They were the first school to offer me. I know they've always got a pretty good defense. With Frank Spaziani as the head coach, they're really defensive minded. They should be pretty good.
