Lake City HS running back Shon Carson has a couple of good options waiting for him in 2011.
The baseball/football star could be playing both sports in college or playing minor league baseball.
"I don't know what I will do if I get drafted. I like (football and baseball) both the same," Carson said. "I'm not rushing anything."
Along with an offer to play football at Clemson,he's also caught Jack Leggett's interest in getting him to Clemson to play baseball.
CUTigers caught up with Carson a day after he was in town for Clemson's soggy win over Boston College. He stayed through both lightning delays for the whole game.
"That was my first time being at a game like that," Carson said.
With offers from South Carolina, Clemson, Tennessee, North Carolina, UCLA, East Carolina and Duke, Carson is hoping that Louisiana State, Georgia and Miami come through and offer.
"I'm going to look at what kind of education the schools have, how they use their running backs and who they have at running back when I get there," he said br>
The trip to Clemson was his first game day visit this fall. He plans to go to South Carolina's game versus Florida and to Miami when Clemson plays.
Four games into Lake City's season, he's rushed for 600 yards and nine touchdowns.
While claiming no current favorites publicly, Clemson has been considered the team to beat in recent months for Carson's services.
