COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Listen to Dabo Swinney following Saturday's loss to Maryland.

Dabo Swinney: (11:40)
OPENING COMMENTS: Very disappointing loss. [I] Congratulate Maryland and Coach Friedgen and his staff. It was a big win for them. They found a way to win. Extremely disappointed in where we are right now. I didn't feel like we'd be here at 2-3 after five ball games. It's a football game we felt like we had opportunities to win.

It's my job to get us to win. It was a poor job by me period. I've done a poor job obviously. We are in position to win games and we are not winning and it's my fault.

The kids fought back.

Offensively we tended to shoot ourselves in the foot. Defensively we came back in the second half and played Clemson defense. Major mistake made by special teams. What's our options? Quit? Throw in the towel? No we are going to get better for the second half of the season. We are going to keep fighting. That's the bottom line.

I'm sure there's going to be a lot of negativity by a lot of a lot of people. The fans deserve better.
