Nelson Says Watch Out

Maurice Nelson, one of the most feared linebacker/strong safety prospects in the country, heard about one particular players' attempt to shock the world earlier this week. Read what Nelson has in store for him in this report.

Maurice Nelson is set to fax in his letter of intent Wednesday morning to Clemson University, and it couldn't come soon enough.

"As soon as I get to school tomorrow, I'll be faxing it in to Clemson," said Nelson. "I'm looking forward to it, I'll probably be able to do it before 9 o'clock."

Nelson has been following the recruiting scene closely this year, and he himself gave Rick Stockstill a call earlier today to get the latest on the Tigers' recruiting efforts.

"He said we'll just have to wait and see what happens," Nelson said. "He didn't say too much more than that, so we'll have to see. I've been reading about what's going on so we'll have to wait and see what happens tomorrow."

The senior linebacker also caught wind of Syvelle Newton's hat tossing incident yesterday afternoon when he announced that he would be going to South Carolina.

"I heard about that, I want you to post this on your site right here. You let everybody know that Maurice Nelson says he's a marked man when we get on the field. I couldn't believe he did that- throwing down the Clemson hat on the floor. You tell him he's a marked man."

Enough said.

We'll hear more from Maurice after the signing day hoopla dies down, but you can believe he won't forget some of the things that have already happened this year.

Final Note:
Maurice also said that he left a voicemail with Marcus Howard earlier today, but he has yet to return the call. Stay tuned! Top Stories
