One more visit for Beasley?

A trip to Auburn could be scheduled with a couple of weeks left before signing day.

CUTigers caught up with Vic Beasley shortly after he returned home from his official visit to Clemson this past weekend.

"I just went up there, had a good time. I got to hang out with the players and see how college life was. It was alright, I had a good time," he said.

Tight end Dwayne Allen hosted Beasley.

"I had met him one time when I came up there before," Beasley said. "He's funny. He showed me some of the stuff--the offensive stuff to me since I'm probably going to be playing the tight end or H-back position. I'm still kind of debating whether I want to play that or linebacker.

"He explained a lot to me. We just talked a lot, got to know each other a whole lot better."

Visiting Auburn is still a possibility, although he's got just a couple of weeks to get the visit in before signing day.

"I'd maybe take another one, but I have no other place that I'd go," Beasley said.

When he met with coach Dabo Swinney, the two discussed a lot, but didn't talk about him taking official visits elsewhere.

"He just talked about how happy he is that I'm committed up there. I just told him that I'm honored to be committed to this team," Beasley said. "It's a great family. They've got good chemistry."

The highlight of his weekend was seeing Vickery Hall, where academic support is provided to student athletes.

"I really want to make sure that I get my degree. That's most important to me," Beasley said. Top Stories
