Major RB target talks Tigers, offers

A participant in the 2011 Under Armour All-American game has Clemson on his radar among several other big-time offers.

RB Isaiah Crowell Profile

CUTigers recently caught up with Carver High School running back Isaiah Crowell, who lists offers from: Clemson, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Duke, Florida, Florida State, LSU, USC and Oklahoma State.

"My favorites are Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, LSU and Florida, not in order," he said.

This spring, he'll go to junior days at either Alabama or Georgia--they're on the same day (Jan. 30). This fall, he visited several schools for unofficial trips to football games.

"I went to Clemson twice and Auburn, Alabama and Florida," Crowell said.

Clemson, he said, was "real nice."

"I got to talk to the players. The coaches are real cool. I think they were nice visits for me," Crowell said.

Two of his 2010 teammates at Carver, Corey Crawford and David Beasley are committed to sign with Clemson in a couple of weeks on signing day.

"Corey said it was real nice and Beasley said he loves it up there (in Clemson). I want to give them a shot," Crowell said.

As a junior, he rushed for 1,900 yards and 25 touchdowns.

Crowell said he'll wait until signing day in 2011 to make his decision. There are several factors he's considering.

"The main thing is the relationship with my coaches and the players," he said. Top Stories
