Are you glad it's over?
Parker: I am glad it's over with now. Like I said, it's been a big process and I've enjoyed everything about it. I'm glad I made the best decision for me.
Parker: I just felt more family-type deal. On my official visit, I enjoyed everything. Not saying I didn't enjoy my other official visits. I felt a lot more comfortable when I was there.
Did you get a call from Marcus Lattimore last night?
Parker: He texted me. It said, ‘I want J.P. at South Carolina.' That's all it was.
Did you tell him you were going to Clemson?
Parker: I didn't say anything. I didn't say I was going to Clemson.
When did you decide?
Parker: Tuesday. I set it in bricks and stone. I finally came down to a decision.

Parker: Excited. It's a once in a lifetime thing. Not everybody gets to have this opportunity. That's why I enjoy it. People out there want some of these things, but aren't able to do it. That's one reason why I do it.
Does it make you feel good to see all these friends and family here?
Parker: I've got a lot of supporters. I think all of them for being here today. They always have my back whenever I need them to help out. I'm just glad to have their support.
Who are some of the people that you really talked to through the process?
Parker: I talked to my brothers, my uncle… mainly the men in my family, because they know the steps.
What's next for you? Do you start your workout program for Clemson?
Parker: Yes. I'm going to hit it hard. I'm going in, looking to start. I've got to hit it hard.
Looking to start this fall? Are you going to play at middle or outside linebacker?
Parker: I don't know. I'm thinking it's going to be the outside, maybe move me around a little bit. Wherever I play, I'll make the best of it. I'll just do what I do, play my game.
What was today like at school? Were people hollering Carolina and Clemson?
Parker: It was crazy. A lot of people through the hallways. It's been like that for the past few weeks. As time winding down to signing day, it got crazier. I heard it like a thousand times.
When do you get down to Clemson?
Parker: I'm not sure yet of the date.
Have you talked to the Clemson coaches today?
Parker: Not yet.
Did they know before the ceremony?
Parker: Not yet, but a little feeling was there.
