Tigers in position with top 2011 DE

One of the hottest names on the class of 2011 recruiting circuit continues to list Clemson among his favorites. CUTigers caught up with the nation's 13th-best defensive end to see who else he's keeping his eye on this spring.

DE Jeoffrey Pagan Profile

Along with Clemson ... Alabama, Florida, USC, Notre Dame, Ohio State, LSU, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida State, Virginia Tech, South Carolina, Georgia Tech and North Carolina are among the 20 or so schools that have already offered Ashville High School defensive end Jeoffrey Pagan.

Most of his offers didn't start coming in until after December.

"It's a lot of fun. I wouldn't change anything about this. I'm just enjoying it, taking it in and having fun with it," he said.

Pagan, who's rated as a four-star defensive end by Scout.com, told CUTigers that Clemson still ranks among his favorites.

"After my trip to Tennessee I think I want to spend some time and really try to get my five here coming up," he said. "I know right now I like Florida, USC, Clemson, Georgia and Alabama.

"I like a lot of schools. I haven't ruled out any of them yet. I've still got some time to do that."

Clemson recruiting coordinator/wide receivers coach Jeff Scott and Pagan keep in touch regularly via e-mail.

"I'll be up in Clemson quite a bit. My school goes every year to some spring practices and stuff. I'll definitely be there," Pagan said.

This past weekend, he was in Knoxville for the Tennessee Junior Day. He's also been to Junior Days at Georgia and Georgia Tech. Scheduled to be in Clemson for last month's Junior day, Pagan had to cancel because of a snow make-up day that Saturday.

Pagan recorded 54 tackles, including 11 for a loss and four sacks, three forced fumbles, and two interceptions. He plans to make a decision sometime in April, but it could come a little bit later.
