One of Clemson's top targets on the hardwood for the class of 2011 will be heading to Germany later this month to play in the annual Albert Schweizer Tournament, an annual international junior basketball event in Mannheim.

J.L. Mann (Greenville) shooting guard Damien Leonard will fly to Frankfurt, Germany on March 28 and returns April 11.

It will be the first time the Scout.com four-star rated No. 8 ranked shooting guard has travelled out of the country.

"I think it's going to be a good experience, something that I can remember for a long time, getting to play against different countries and compare how they play against us," Leonard said.

Last August, he played for the US team at the Adidas Nations Tournament in Dallas.

"International teams play a slower game, more half-court than the United States does. They're not going to be able to keep up with us," Leonard said.

Other countries represented in the 16-team tournament include: Germany, Argentina, Israel, Spain, Turkey, China, Greece and Italy. The 25th annual tournament starts April 3.

Leonard was a regular at most Clemson home games this season.
