Clemson linebacker Kavell Conner became the fifth player from the Tigers to be drafted this year when the Indianapolis Colts selected him in the seventh round Saturday.
Conner, who is is rated by Scout.com as the No. 15 outside linebacker available in this year's draft by Scout.com, was taken as the No. 240 overall selection by Indianapolis.
The Richmond, Va. native recorded 262 total tackles in Clemson career, including a career-high 97 last season.
He also had two sacks and an interception during his senior year.
C.J. Spiller (Buffalo), Jacoby Ford (Oakland), Ricky Sapp (Philadelphia) and Crezdon Butler (Pittsburgh) were also selected in the 2010 NFL Draft.
Michael Palmer, Thomas Austin and Chris Chancellor all figure to sign free agent contracts with teams in the league if they are not drafted.
