DE Kevin Dodd Profile
Riverside High School (Greer) defensive end Kevin Dodd made the short drive down with Warrior head coach Steve Eoute to check out Clemson's campus.
Dodd spoke to CUTigers shortly after his trip to Tigertown, which was the first recruiting visit he's been on.
"It was awesome. I had a good time. I liked the things that we saw, especially the tutoring section in Vickery Hall," he said. "Everyone was really nice."
They day also included a sit-down with Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney.
"Dabo was upfront. I liked that," Dodd said. "He just talked to me about the things that I need to do to get into college and what I need to do to not get distracted."
Though Dodd has yet to pick up any offers, Eoute said he's also received inquiries from N.C. State, Maryland and Vanderbilt about his defensive end.
No offer was extended during the visit, though Swinney did invite Dodd back later this summer for camp.
Plans for other visits have not been set, but Dodd is looking forward to others.
"I'm going to take other visits, I might go to Maryland over the summer, if I can get up there," he said.
