RB Mike Blakely Profile
Running back coach Andre Powell, offensive coordinator Billy Napier and interior offensive line coach Brad Scott saw Manatee High School running back Mike Blakely in May.
Blakely said the two separate visits are an indication that the Tigers' staff is very interested in him.
"They really want me bad because they've sent my position coach and the offensive coordinator."
Clemson currently sits in second with Florida behind Auburn.
Blakely told CUTigers on Monday what he likes about the three schools.
Auburn: I just like the times that I have stayed up there.
Clemson: They've been recruiting me since the 10th grade. I like the offense that they run.
Florida: They're a winning school. It's near my hometown—they're right here.
Blakely said he has seven days left in school before kicking off the summer visits in South Carolina. He'll head to Clemson before stopping in Columbia to see the Gamecocks.
"I think I'll be in Clemson for one or two days," he said. "I'll be going to the one-day camp. I'm going to be (at South Carolina) for one day too."
Auburn hosted Blakely this past weekend.
Although he considers the SEC Tigers as his favorite, he's not ready to declare where any of his five official visits will be.
"I'm not for sure about which visits I'm going to take right now," Blakely said.
As for a decision, that doesn't appear to be coming any time soon.
"I'm going to take my time, as long as I can," he said.
Blakely ran for 1,323 yards and 16 touchdowns and caught 30 passes for 313 yards and another two scores as a junior.
