Clemson rescheduled for Monday

OMAHA, Neb. - Thanks to a rain soaked Father's Day afternoon, Clemson's College World Series opener against Arizona State has been moved to Monday at 10 a.m.(CST).

Clemson was originally scheduled to play Arizona State at 7 p.m. (EST).

After a four hour and 15 minute rain delay pushed South Carolina and Oklahoma's start time to 5:25 (CST), NCAA officials hoped to Clemson and Arizona State would play Sunday.

A weather delay in the middle of the Gamecocks and Sooners' game has pushed back the Tigers and Sun Devils' meeting to Monday.

The game will be televised on ESPNU and ESPN3.

According to NCAA rules, games cannot start play after 10 p.m. or before 10 a.m.

Clemson (43-23) will start lefty Casey Harman (7-3, 3.73 ERA) on the mound. Arizona (52-8) has scheduled right hander Seth Blair (12-0, 3.35 ERA).

South Carolina trails Oklahoma 3-2 heading into the top of the sixth.
