Tigers still high with 4-star OLB

Clemson continues its grasp in the top-five of nation's third-best outside linebacker in the class of 2011. Might another visit to Tigertown be in the works before the end of the month?

Anson High School (Wadesboro, N.C.) outside linebacker Stephone Anthony recently told CUTigers about the summer before his senior season.

"I've been keeping it pretty quiet," he said. "I have to get down Georgia's Dawgs Night on July 16th and down to Florida for Friday Night Lights on the 23rd. Those are my only plans right now."

But a trip down to Clemson could be in the works.

"We're setting up dates for Clemson. I want to say it's this weekend, but I'm not sure. The coaches just got back in town and I'm not really sure about that one," Anthony said.

Former Anson teammate Tra Thomas is now a freshman at Clemson, after signing with the 2010 recruiting class.

"I just want to get around the players some more and hang out with the guys," Anthony said. "Our former teammate is down there now, so I think I can get in closer with guys now."

The Florida camp would be Anthony's second trip to Gainesville. He visited earlier this year during the spring.

He's never been to Georgia, though.

‘It's a different type of atmosphere. I just want to get down there and see how I fit into the system—that's the biggest thing," Anthony said.

As far as the favorites are looking, the top-two remain unchanged since the last time he spoke with CUTigers.

"It's changed up a little bit. Right now, I've got Florida, I like Clemson and then I've got UNC, I've got Virginia Tech, I've got N.C. State and then I've got Georgia," Anthony said.

"That's in order."
