Florida LB names favorite

One of the top linebacker prospects in the class of 2010 recently spoke to Scout.com for the latest in his recruitment.

Tony Steward has offers from just about every major college program in America and he talked about the latest on the recruiting front.

"This summer I've been to Florida, then Clemson, and then Georgia Tech, then Rutgers and now I'm here at Gridiron Kings," Steward said. "It's been pretty busy. It's been fun but kinda annoying at the same time. You meet new people and have good experiences and you gotta take advanage of it and make the best of it. It's been a football summer."

Steward, 6-foot-1 and 215, said he's been able to begin narrowing things down just a bit.

"I started narrowing it down a bit because I've visited all the colleges I've interested in. If I saw what they said it was and they didn't beat around the bush, it keeps me interested."

Despite growing up an FSU fan, Steward said another ACC program is now in the lead.

"Clemson is my leader and there are no places behind it but Florida State, Florida, Alabana, Rutgers, UCLA, and Georgia Tech are still in the mix."

Why Clemson? How did they pull ahead? He talked about it.

"Just the people there aside from football. I have a great opportunity to go in and play young. The people are genuine and real with you. I fit in really well and it's a home feeling."
