Tony McNeal is committed to Clemson and so he hasn't been running around to different camps this summer. He talked about the latest. "I've been to the Clemson coach and worked with some receivers there," McNeal said. "We've done some 7 on 7 events as well at Wake Forest, Catwaba, and others. We did a big one at Panther Stadium and a few others."
McNeal, 6-foot-1 and 170 pounds, talked more about why he chose the Tigers.
"They have a great coaching staff," he said. "Coach Napier, Dabo Swinney, and Coach Scott are great at recruiting. I like the offense. it's similar to our offense. It's a great football town and everyone in the community is all Clemson football."
Clemson will likely be McNeal's only official visit this fall.
"A few schools are still talking but I'm done," he said. "My only visit will be to Clemson."
The standout quarterback is excited for the start of his senior season.
"I'm taking it one game at a time. As a team goes, win the region and everyone wants to win a state championship."
McNeal is working out at the Gridiron Kings event in Orlando this weekend with many other top players from around the nation.
"I'm just out here to have fun, compete against some of the best players from around the country, and hopefully learn some things."
Clemson was a great fit
