Doors open at 7:30 PM. The event, which signifies the official start to the 2010-11 basketball season for Clemson's men's and women's teams, will be filled with promotions, prizes and entertainment for the whole family. Admission is free of charge.
Rock the `John will feature performances from the Clemson cheerleaders, Rally Cats, as well as the Air Elite Dunkers from Atlanta, GA. The event, sponsored by Academy Sports, Coca-Cola and Tom Winkopp, will be action-packed and is sure to be entertaining for Clemson fans of all ages.
Rock the `John will be the first chance for fans to meet the 2010-11 men's and women's basketball teams. First-year Clemson head coaches Brad Brownell and Itoro Coleman will address the crowd and offer their expectations for the upcoming season. At the conclusion of the event, both teams will be available for autographs on the concourse level.
New to Rock the ‘John in 2010 will be a pre-event on the lawn at Littlejohn. This will feature a free concert beginning at 6:00 PM. Performing will be recording artists Junior and Lisa Palleschi, new acts on the national scene. Other activities are planned for the pre-event and will be announced when finalized. JDew, who serves as the regular in-game host for the men's basketball home games, will be the event emcee for the third straight year. Team posters and schedule cards will also be available.
