Colorado State has proven time and again under Mike Bobo that it has no problem recruiting on a national scale to compete for top prospects all over the country. The Rams also don't appear to have a problem going into some of the nation's premier high schools to compete with Power Five schools for top recruits.

Bishop Gorman (NV), St. Thomas Aquinas (FL), Long Beach Poly (CA), Grayson (GA), and Roswell (GA) are just a few of the big time programs nationally the Rams have recruited prospects from under Bobo's direction. CSU can now add perennial power Miami Central (Fla.) to the list, as cornerback Chandler Jones has skyrocketed up CSU's recruiting board.

The 5-foot-10, 170-pounder is hearing from some of the nation's top colleges, yet Colorado State is among the schools sticking out Jones due to the Rams' heavy recruitment of the cornerback.

Appalachian State, Colorado State, Dartmouth, Mississippi State, Rutgers, UCF, and Yale are among the offers so far for the Scout three-star corner. With increasing interest pouring in from schools nationwide, Jones is maintaining a patient outlook during his recruiting process.

"No, I don't want to put any favorites out there right now," Jones said. "I don't want to put it out there who is recruiting me hardest, but Colorado State is showing a lot of love."

CSU head coach Mike Bobo and quarterbacks coach Ronnie Letson have communicated regularly with Jones since offering him in early March.

"They've just been telling me how great the school is and how they want me to come up in the summer. They were telling me how much they need me and telling me about Colorado State overall as a program," Jones explained.

He admitted to not knowing much about the CSU program, but his goal is to get out to Fort Collins to see the CSU program in person this summer. Jones is also planning unofficial visits to South Carolina, Mississippi State, Florida State, Georgia, and likely a few others.

Jones has been told by recruiters that his technique is advanced for his age. His natural athleticism, hip turn and instincts have also caught the eyes of college recruiters.

"They call me a technician," Jones said specifically of CSU's coaches. "I play bigger than my size. I'm a playmaker and they say my feet are pretty quick. I know how to mirror receivers."

A recent Under Armour All-American honoree, Jones plans to make a commitment this summer. What factors is he looking for in a school?

"Honestly, the school that shows me the most love and is the best fit for me, academically and athletically."

Location will not play a factor in his decision.
