CSU Advances to Women's NIT

Fort Collins, Colo. -- The Colorado State Women's basketball team has accepted an invitation to play in the Women's National Invitation Tournament.

Fort Collins, Colo. -- The Colorado State Women's basketball team has accepted an invitation to play in the Women's National Invitation Tournament. The Rams, 17-11 overall, will play on Friday, March 19 in Moby Arena on the campus of Colorado State at 7:00 p.m. against Creighton.

The Creighton Bluejays are 19-9 on the season and fell to Northern Iowa in the quarterfinals of the Missouri Valley Tournament.

"We are very excited to play in the WNIT and have another opportunity to play at home in front of our great fans," said head coach Chris Denker.

"I think the team is playing really good basketball right now and we are very excited about the opportunity to continue playing basketball. To be able to play in front of our fans again is a great thing and we are very excited about that prospect."

Colorado State University Director of Athletics Mark Driscoll Sunday night announced the school's ticket sales plan for the Rams' Women's National Invitation Tournament (WNIT) basketball game at Moby Arena on Friday evening. • Tickets are $8 for reserved, $6 for adult general admission and $4 for youth general admission and Colorado State students. • All season ticket holders may reserve their same season seats by calling the Colorado State Athletic Ticket Office no later than Tues., March 16 at Noon. • Season parking permits will be valid for the WNIT. • All tickets will go on sale Mon., March 15 at 8:00 a.m. • Tickets are only available for purchase through the McGraw Athletic Center or by calling 1-800-491-RAMS toll free, or 491-RAMS or by visiting the box office in person.
