Rams' Opener With Virginia To Air On Fox Sports

Colorado State University Director of Athletics Jeffrey Hathaway said today the Rams' season opening football game with the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Va., will be telecast live regionally by Fox Sports Net.

The game will be played on Thursday, Aug. 22, beginning at 5:30 p.m. MT (7:30 p.m. ET) at David Harrison III Field at Scott Stadium on the Virginia campus in the Jim Thorpe Assn. Classic.

Hathaway said today the game will air live in the Rocky Mountain and South regions on Sports Net, including Denver, and on Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic.

The telecast will cover more than 15 million homes in 22 states on cable and via satellite.

The sports network plans to make an announcement concerning the telecast crew in the coming weeks.

The game can be seen throughout Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah in the Rocky Mountain region, as well as parts of Montana, Idaho, Nebraska, Kansas, and Nevada in this area, plus in the South and along the East Coast.
