Damiene Cain's decision came down to two schools, Boston College and Colorado after a visit to Boulder two weeks ago. Colorado became the frontrunner to land Cain when another power forward, Ryan Anderson from Long Beach, Calif., made his commitment to Boston College in September.
Damiene Cain becomes the third player to commit to CU in the last two weeks; following Spencer Dinwiddie and Askia Booker. This third commitment hits Colorado coach Tad Boyle's goal for the fall recruiting period. With three seniors graduating in the spring, Cain fills the last open scholarship for next year.
All of CU's commitments have come from California. Boulder has always been able to draw players out of California, but the move to the Pac-12 next year seems to be having a positive effect on CU's recruitment this fall.
