Colorado sophomore Alec Burks was named Big 12 Conference Player of the Week again today by a panel of media members who cover the conference.
Alec Burks scored 33 points with 10 rebounds, four assists and just one turnover in the Buffs' big victory over the weekend against then-No. 5 Texas.
Burks led the way as the Buffs overcame a 22-point deficit to pull off the upset and keep their slim hopes of an NCAA Tournament berth alive.
Burks also scored 14 points with eight rebounds in a win on the road at Texas Tech earlier in the week.
It is the second time this season Burks has been honored by the league. He also is on numerous watchlists for awards around the nation this season.
Colorado is 18-11 overall and 7-7 in conference play with a game Wednesday at Iowa State and Saturday at home against Nebraska.
