Hobbs picks Colorado

TE Vincent Hobbs has decided to play his college football at Colorado.

Vincent Hobbs confirmed to Scout.com through a text message on Sunday evening that he has committed to play football at Colorado.

Hobbs, a tight end from Horn High School in Mesquite, Tex., is ranked nationally by Scout.com as the No. 61 tight end. He is rated as a three-star recruit.

During his senior year, Hobbs caught 45 passes for 583 yards and two touchdowns.

The 6-foot-3.5, 235-pounder cough compete for playing time right away at Colorado and is expected to get top-notch coaching for his position, since CU coach Jon Embree is a former NFL tight end and NFL tight ends coach.
