Frazier chooses Colorado

Colorado is aggressively pursuing linebackers in the 2013 recruiting class and coach Jon Embree's staff landed its first in the position group Tuesday evening. Get inside for more.

George Frazier, a 6-foot-3, 235-pound product of Monrovia High School in Monrovia, Calif., committed to Colorado coaches Tuesday, becoming the 11th overall commitment in the class and the first linebacker.

Frazier held offers from Washington State, Fresno State and San Jose State and was being recruited by numerous other programs in the Pac-12 and the west.

He is a jack-of-all-trades for his high school team, playing outside linebacker and defensive end as well as backup quarterback, tight end and fullback on offense. He will likely play outside linebacker in college, but he could also play on the inside or defensive end if coaches like him there. Frazier recorded 84 tackles with two sacks and two interceptions during his junior season.

Offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy and linebackers coach Brian Cabral served as the primary recruiters for Frazier.
