New Colorado Head Football Coach Mike MacIntyre and his coaching staff has made it clear that they intend to recruit their home state.

One Colorado athlete that appears to be on the Buffs radar is Aurora's Evan White from Cherokee Trail High School.

BuffPlayBook caught up with the talented defender recently to get the latest on his recruiting process.

"I have one offer from Colorado State," White said. "Colorado is recruiting me, they are acting like they will offer me after they see my grades this semester."

White attended Colorado's Junior Day and was very impressed with the Buff's new coaching staff.

"I love the new coaching staff," White said. "I really like Colorado, they are definitely one of my top schools."

Other schools that are showing White attention include Arizona State, Tulsa, Washington and Boise State.

White is looking forward to go to summer camp at Colorado.

"I want to see how it will be to be coached by them," White said. "I want to get to know them better."

White, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound saftey, finished his junior season with over 85 tackles.
