It appears that the Colorado coaching staff is in search for a quarterback for their 2014 recruiting class.

Offensive coordinator and quarterback coach Brian Lindgren has been visiting several high schools all over from Austin Texas to California.

One quarterback that recently got a visit from Colorado last week was Austin Westlake's Jordan Severt.

BuffPlayBook.com caught up with Severt recently to get his thoughts and interest in the Buffs.

"Colorado came by to see spring practice last week," Severt said. "I'm hoping that they show interest in me, I definitely have interest in Colorado."

While Severt admits not knowing a lot about the Buffs Football program, he is intrigued by what their new coaching staff accomplished at San Jose State.

"I don't know a ton about them yet," Severt said. "I have several of my classmates who go to school at Colorado. They love the campus, they talk about how fun it is up there. What their coaching staff did at San Jose State is definitely impressive."

Severt currently is holding one offer from Southern Methodist University.

Other schools that are showing interest in the talented signal caller include Texas, San Diego State, Baylor, Oklahoma, Texas Tech and Colorado.

Severt is impressed with how Colorado is recruiting him.

"I get so many hand written notes from all of their coaches," Severt said. "They seem very interested in me."

Severt a 6-foot-4, 225-pound athlete, finished his junior season with over 2500 passing yards and 25 touchdowns.
