There isn't any doubt which school is recruiting one Texas Athlete the hardest.
Waz recently received 38 hand written notes and letters from 38 different people at the University of Colorado who will play some role in his life during his career as a Buff.
"I was blown away by the 38 hand written letters," Waz recently told BuffPlayBook.com. "From the Head Coach, from every assistant coach, members of the football staff, the athletic administration, people in the academic department down to even one teacher that is in my course of study, it was very impressive."
Appearing in those letters were words of encouragement, people letting them know what roles they would play in Waz's life at Colorado and what a great school CU would be for his future both athletically and academically.
"It's definitely a different approach than anyone else is taking with me," Waz said. "To get that many hand written notes from so many people at Colorado was really cool. It shows that they care about me as a student first as well as for my athletic abilities."
Some schools are recruiting Waz solely as an athlete, it appears that Colorado is recruiting him to play corner or safety. The 5-foot-11, 170-pound athlete, who runs a 4.5 forty, doesn't mind playing either position.
"Wherever they need me the most," Waz said. "I'm very excited about the offer from Colorado."
Excited enough that Waz and his family will be making a trip to Boulder in the early part of June for an unofficial visit and an opportunity for the talented Texas athlete to camp with the Buffs.
"We are excited about making that trip on June 9th," Waz said. "It will give us a chance to see what Colorado has to offer both on the football field and in the classroom. I'm looking forward to have the opportunity to be coached by their coaching staff and learn how they coach."
Waz is being recruited by Colorado's Coach Troy Walters, it appears that the talented wide receiver coach has made a good first impression with Waz.
"I really like him a lot," Waz said. "He is a really good coach, he is very detailed in the recruiting process, we Facebook and talk a lot with each other. We are building a solid relationship."
Waz has also been impressed with Colorado's new Head Football Coach Mike MacIntyre.
"I have spoken to him a couple of times," Waz said. "I really like him a lot. He told me about the program and how I would be a good fit and big asset for his program and wanted me to get a quality education. I really like their entire coaching staff."
According to Waz, he currently has no early favorites and plans on waiting out the process to see who gives him the best opportunity both on the football field and in the classroom.
