Colorado hosted a kicking camp here on Friday and it appears that they made quite an impression on one young man.
Tanner Carew, a long snapper from Damien High School and from LaVerne, California is rated as the No. 1 long snapper in the nation according to long snapping specialist Chris Rubio.
BuffPlayBook.com caught up with Carew Saturday morning to get his thoughts about the Colorado camp and what he was feeling after picking up his first official offer.
"Colorado is my first offer," Carew said. "The camp was great, I love the coaching staff and the campus is incredible. Getting an offer from Colorado means my hard work is paying off."
Carew got the opportunity to sit down with Coach MacIntyre and visit with the new Buffs Head Football Coach.
"I love what he did at San Jose State," Carew said. "He is a great coach, a great Christian man and that means a lot to me and my family. He is the one that gave me the offer later Friday."
While Carew is going to visit other campuses, it's apparent that Colorado made a big impression on him.
"I could absolutely see myself being a Colorado Buff," Carew said. "Getting that first offer is always going to be special to me. I love the weather in Colorado and love the way the campus is set up."
