The tackle from Pueblo West High School has been a three year starter at his position and earned a Second All Conference honor this past season. His outlook on the upcoming fall season is extremely positive.
"Our team is looking really good. Really strong and tough. We're going to be a really good team. My goal is to lead the team to state, and I think we can do it," Hed says.
After this season, and hopefully hoisting the trophy, Hed will move on to college ball. At the moment, he has received three offers. The schools fielding Hed are Wyoming, Colorado State, and Northern Colorado. All of these schools are within four hours of Pueblo, so the journey would not take Hed too far from home.
This summer, Hed has attended several camps, including Colorado's camp on the ninth of June, Colorado State's team camp, and will soon be attending Northern Colorado's camp on the 15th. Out of the schools he has received offers from, Hed has a rough top three.
"I've been to Colorado, Colorado State, and Wyoming. They're all beautiful schools. That would probably be my top three. CU is in such a great place. The campus is beautiful and the athletic facilities at Boulder are great. But, I'm keeping an open mind and seeing if any more offers come in," he says.
Hed and the Pueblo West Cyclones begin their hunt for a championship on August 30th, taking on Pueblo County at home.
