All it took for one California High School prospect was to camp at the University of Colorado last month for California athlete Dyan Keeney to realize that Boulder would be his next home. Keeney became the second HS prospect to commit to Mike MacIntyre on Monday and the third pledge and third 3 star athlete in three days for the Buffs 2014 recruiting class.
Keeney entered the camp not knowing a lot about Colorado and the Buffs felt equally in the dark about the 6-foot-6, 215-pound athlete.
That all changed after camp.
Shortly after the conclusion of the one day camp, Keeney was informed that he had an official offer from Colorado.
"It was great to get to the offer," Keeney told BuffPlayBook.com. "I knew when I received the offer that Colorado went to the top of my list of favorites."
Keeney had made it clear that he wanted to make a decision in the next week or two, and it came at no surprise when he pulled the trigger Monday night.
"I have been thinking about it a lot lately," Keeney said. "I really felt comfortable at Colorado and with their coaching staff. They made me feel very much at home."
Keeney was very impressed with the Colorado campus and the surrounding area.
"It's great up there," Keeney said. "I really like the stadium a lot, the campus is incredible and all the mountains surrounding the campus just adds to its beauty."
According to Keeney, Colorado is recruiting him to play tight-end, he appears to have made a great relationship with new Tight-End/Running back coach Klayton Adams."
"Coach Adams is great," Keeney said. "You can tell he is a great coach, it was great going to camp with him to see how he coaches. He is very easy to talk to about anything."
