Hard work paying off for Buffs

BuffPlayBook.com got the opportunity to visit with CU Sr Linebacker Derrick Webb to get his thoughts on summer work outs, team chemistry and much more. Go "Inside" to see what he had to say.

Hard work pays off in most cases.

The new Colorado coaching staff is testing this theory in full affect this past spring and summer.

Several current Buff Players have said that they are working harder than ever before and it has caused an excitement and energy around the program, something much needed after just one win last season.

One senior linebacker that is expected to contribute to the turnaround of the Buff's defense is Derrick Webb. One of the top defenders returning for his senior season, it's easy to see why he is so focused on the upcoming season.

"It's hot and it's hard and it's very competitive," Webb told BuffPlayBook.com after Thursday's voluntary workout for the Buffs. "The team is learning how to work together and to work hard everyday."

There appears to be a new attitude and a new energy surrounding this football program. Only time will tell how that new effort relates to wins, but this football team appears to be very confident that they are going to be much better than they were in 2012.
