Jeffcoat recruiting big Texas defensive end

One Texas defensive end that has an offer from Colorado and is being recruited by Jim Jeffcoat is Lewisville Hebron's three star defensive lineman Daniel Wise. BuffPlayBook.com caught up with Wise Tuesday night to get an update on his recruitment.

Colorado defensive line coach Jim Jeffcoat is a pretty well known name in the state of Texas.

The standout former defensive end played in the NFL for 14 years and had an outstanding career with the Dallas Cowboys from 1983 to 1994.

Who better recruit the Dallas Texas area than Coach Jeffcoat.

One Texas defensive end that has an offer from Colorado and is being recruited by Jeffcoat is Lewisville Hebron's three star defensive lineman Daniel Wise.

BuffPlayBook.com caught up with Wise Tuesday night to get an update on his recruitment.

"It's going good," Wise said. "We are getting ready to open our season this weekend against Abilene."

The 6-foot-3, 235-pound defensive end is ranked the 104 best DE in the nation and currently holds seven offers from Colorado, Iowa State, Kansas, La Tech, Mizzou, SMU and Texas Tech.

"My latest offer came from Mizzou," Wise said. "I don't have a top five right now, all of the schools that are recruiting me are all recruiting me really hard."

Wise has yet to make a trip to Colorado but hopes to get the opportunity to this fall.

Wise got a chance to meet the Buff coaching staff during one of their traveling camps this summer.

"I really liked the vibe I got from their coaches," Wise said. "Coach Jeffcoat is recruiting me, he is a great defensive line coach."
