MacIntyre's Tuesday Press Conference

First year Buff Head Football Coach Mike MacIntyre isn't taking any game lightly, especially Colorado's opponent this Saturday the University of Central Arkansas. Go "Inside" to see what he had to say during his Tuesday's Press Conference.

Colorado played a solid game Sunday afternoon, enroute to defeating its arch rival Colorado State in the Rocky Mountain Showdown.

First year Buff Head Football Coach Mike MacIntyre isn't taking any game lightly, especially Colorado's opponent this Saturday the University of Central Arkansas.

There have been eight FCS Schools beat FBS in week one of football this past weekend.

MacIntyre has respect for the Bears of Arkansas and realizes that his team must keep getting better for them to achieve their goal this weekend, and that's win No. 2.

"We are playing each game as it's a season of its own," MacIntyre told the local media that attended his Tuesday Press Conference. "I told our players that they could celebrate the win against CSU for 24 hours, now it's time to put it behind us and prepare for the FCS No. 5 team in the nation."

Colorado lost to a FCS school last fall, something that this current Buff team is well aware of.

"It's not a good feeling," Buffs starting quarterback Connor Wood said. "Central Arkansas is a very athletic team, we definitely will have to play well against them."

Starting wide out Paul Richardson also realizes the importance of Saturday's game.

"We have to protect our home field," Richardson said in an earlier year. "I can't wait to be back out on our home field. It's great to play at Folsom."

Colorado won just one ballgame last fall, it's MacIntyre and his coaching staff to make sure their team is focused and ready for Saturday's matchup.

"I put it behind me really fast," MacIntyre said. "Our staff and I was up here at 5:30 Monday morning watching film and getting ready for Central Arkansas."

A better football team took the field against Colorado State in Sunday's game, MacIntyre is excited about his team getting better each and everyday and each and every ballgame.

"If you're not getting better then you aren't doing what we need to be doing," MacIntyre said. "It's great to see the smiles on their faces after the game Sunday, I told them throughout the game to go out and have fun playing football."

MacIntyre was pleased with Tuesday's practice.

"I thought we had a good practice today," MacIntyre said. "They came back focused, you can tell that they have been watching UCA film. I was definitely pleased with their effort this morning."
