Spring quarterback and athlete Darius Campbell has lived in the Centennial State and has a lot of family still in Colorado.

Darius Lee Campbell currently has 15 offers, three schools appear to be recruiting the talented athlete the hardest are Iowa State, Wake Forest and Colorado.

BuffPlayBook.com caught up with Campbell Wednesday night to get the latest on his recruiting process.

"I haven't gotten any new offers lately," Campbell said. "I have 15 offers right now, I have set up only one official visit so far and that's to Iowa State."

Campbell is very familiar with the University of Colorado, when he lived in state, he participated in track meets in Boulder.

"A lot of my track meets were held there," Campbell said. "I have family that attended Colorado and some that went to Colorado State."

Did Campbell get the opportunity to watch the Rocky Mountain Showdown this past weekend?

Campbell talks quite a bit with Colorado wide receiver coach and Texas recruiter Troy Walters.

"Coach Walters and I spoke today," Campbell said. "He wanted to know how I was doing, he had heard what happen at my school today."

A fight broke out at Spring High School, four were injured and one died in the stabbing incident.

"Coach Walters cares about me more than just a football player," Campbell said. "He really cares, he is a great coach and we have built a solid relationship."
