Colorado picked up its 14th commitment Sunday evening and apparently the Buffs No. 1 running back on their boards.
According to Scout.com 3 star running back Jomon Dotson from American Canyon HS in California, he was the Buffs top running back prospect.
"It was time for me to make my decision," Dotson told BuffPlayBook.com Sunday evening. "Coach MacIntyre told me that I was their No. 1 running back on their board. He was extremely excited that I have decided to be a Buff."
Dotson, a 6-foot-0, 165-pound runner with 4.4 speed, is the type of running back the Buffs are apparently looking for to build their offense around.
"Coach told me that they liked my speed and my quick feet," Dotson said. "He said that they needed a speed back like myself to build their offense around."
Dotson recently took his SAT test this past weekend and thought it was time to make the call to Boulder.
"I wanted to get that test out of the way first," Dotson said. "Colorado has the major that I'm looking for, I plan on being an electrical engineer. They have an outstanding reputation in the field."
Dotson built a great relationship with Klayton Adams, the Buffs running back coach and his recruiting coach.
"We built a great chemistry with each other," Dotson said. "He is a very good coach, he is very easy to talk to and I look forward for him being my coach. We have built a special bond."
