This evenings game Colorado at Washington will be a homecoming of sorts for the Buffs true freshman quarterback Sefo Liufau.

Liufau makes no bones about how much family means to him, so returning to his home state as the leader of the Buffs on offense, will mean a lot to him.

"It's been a humbling opportunity to be the starting quarterback for Colorado," Sefo said earlier this week. "To get to play in front of my family, my friends and my former teammates will be special."

Buff Head Football Coach Mike MacIntyre was asked this week how he and is coaching staff would keep Liufau grounded with all of the emotional things that will be surrounding his rookie quarterback.

"I think the most stressful thing for Sefo this week has been finding enough tickets for all of his family and friends," laughed MacIntyre. "Family has played a major role in his life, his family life has made him the man he is today."

Liufau has two special needs brother and sister, the talented athlete has always played a parental role with them.

"There is no doubt they are Sefo's biggest fans," MacIntyre said. "Getting the chance to return home to his home state and be the starter his freshman year will have special meaning for him."

MacIntyre and Colorado are still in search for their first PAC 12 win of this season.

A win against a good Washington team today would definitely be a signature win for both.

"Washington is definitely a very good team," MacIntyre said. "We will have to play our best game, we will have to learn how to finish a game and to play four full quarters, something we haven't been able to do during league play."

Colorado must be successful rushing the football against a good Washington defense. The Buffs can't afford to put the ball on the ground, ball security will play a big role in this key to victory.

Colorado's offensive line must do a better job protecting their quarterback. Liufau found himself on his backside several times against UCLA. If Liufau is given time to throw the ball, the Buffs have a good chance of success.

Colorado must play great on special teams. Return guys need to make smart decisions and they can't afford to put the ball on the turf and give the home team extra points due to turnovers.

Colorado must slow down Washington's rush attack. You have to slow down Bishop Sankey and need to keep a spy eye on Husky Sr. QB Keith Price.

Colorado has to pressure the Washington offense into making some mistakes, getting some turnovers could prove to be key for a Buff upset.
