The Buffs recently picked up a commitment from St. Louis HS Athlete Jaisen Sanchez this week and it appears that CU is recruiting an up and coming junior athlete from the Islands as well.
BuffPlayBook.com caught up with Junior defensive back and Scout.com three star prospect Dylan Kane to get his impressions on the recruiting process.
According to the Kamehameha athlete, he is very interested in the Colorado Buffaloes.
"Colorado is showing me a lot of interest," Kane explained. "Distance won't be an issue, actually I want to go away to the states to play football."
Kane a 6-foot-3 190-pound athlete plays both corner and safety for his high school team, he is seeing a mixture of what colleges what him to play, but will most likely end up a safety.
According to Kane, academics will play a role in his decision on where he will attend college.
"It has to be a good academic fit as well as athletically," Kane said. "I will possibly major in business, I want to run my own business one day.
Kane's Kamehameha Football team finished this season with a 9-2 record, the talented junior is excited for his senior season next fall.
Colorado's recent commitment Jaisen Sanchez is someone Kane is very familiar with.
"We play in the same league," Kane said. "He played corner against us, he's not bad. He played a lot of press coverage against us. They played him on our best wide out, he has decent speed."
It appears both have competed head to head in state track and field.
"I beat him in the 100 meters," Kane said. "He beat me a couple of times in the 200."
Kane finished fourth int he 100 in the state championships as a sophomore and 7th place in the 100 yard dash.
"It's my goal to win both this spring,"
