For many high school juniors the recruiting process has already started.

Arizona running back/linebacker Dedrick Young is in the middle of Pac 12 country, he has taken advantage of this fact, taking unofficial visits to both Arizona and Arizona State this football season.

Colorado Coach Mike MacIntyre and his coaching staff are making a point to recruit the state of Arizona, with several of his staff members with connections to the state.

BuffPlayBook.com caught up with Young this week to get his thoughts on the recruiting process.

"It's alright," Young said. "I have been getting some interest from several schools."

Young likes the Pac 12 and one school that has showed a lot of interest in Young is Colorado.

"I don't have any favorites at all right now," Young said. "Everyone is equal. "I went to Arizona State last weekend and went to Arizona a few weeks ago. Both game day atmosphere were great, I definitely enjoyed my visits."

"Colorado has shown interest," Young said. "I get a lot of stuff from them in the mail."

According to Young, he is looking for a strong academic situation and a good team chemistry.

"Academics are important," Young said. "I want a good team environment, it also depends on what style of football they play."

Young a 6-foot-1, 200-pound athlete currently has no offers.
