Colorado Head Football Coach Mike MacIntyre usually doesn't host official visitors during a gameday weekend.

He would rather have more time for himself and his coaching staff to get to know their future athletes. ?Due to Junior College signing day being in the second week of December, the Buffs hosted one JC athlete this past weekend.

Mississippi Gulf Coast JC Deep snapper Wyatt Smith made his way from Mississippi to Colorado this past weekend.

BuffPlayBook.com caught up with Smith, who apparently had such a good time on his visit, that he decided Colorado was the right place for him.

"I loved everything about my visit," Smith said Sunday evening. "It was easy for me to see it was a perfect fit for me."

Smith is from the south, more precise the Gulfcoast, he feels that getting use to the weather may be the toughest part of his transition from Mississippi to Colorado next month.

"I will graduate in a couple of weeks," Smith said. "They I will move to Colorado and enroll in January. I have always loved snow etc, we just didn't get much where I lived."

Smith was very impressed with the Colorado coaching staff.

"The entire coaching staff are incredible," Smith said. "Everyone we were around was very informative. They didn't leave any of our questions unanswered."

Smith was also impressed with the people of Boulder, Colorado.

"It really seem like a place full of good people," Smith said. "Everyone all in the community was so nice, I can't wait to get there."

Smith, a 6-foot-2, 234-pound athlete, played at Mississippi Gulf Coast Junior College and will enter Colorado next month as a junior.
