A recent trip to Colorado for one Buff commitment was all it took to reaffirm his decision to CU.
Scout.com's three star linebacker and California athlete Zach Brown has never wavered from his pledge to Colorado, but a trip to Boulder for an unofficial visit made him realize that Colorado is a perfect fit for him.
Brown's senior season has completed, with the standout defender finishing averaging 10 tackles a game and 15 sacks for his San Diego Henry Senior High School.
"I'm totally committed to Colorado," Brown told BuffPlayBook.com last week. "I like it a lot, it's a good fit for me both athletically and academically."
One thing that has impressed Brown is Colorado's aerospace engineering school.
"They have a great engineering department," Brown said. "It was great to get to see them play a game. The one thing I didn't get to see was the college atmosphere, because the students were gone."
Brown plans on taking his official visit next week and hopes to see the college life a little more.
According to Brown, who played outside linebacker for his high school team, is being recruited to play more of a defensive end position at Colorado. ?
"In high school I played outside linebacker and some defensive end," Brown said. "They are recruiting more as a defensive end."
Brown is currently listed at 6-foot-3, 235-pounds, ran a 4.75 forty earlier this summer during a combine.
Brown has built a solid relationship with the Buff coaching staff.
"I keep in touch with them a lot," Brown said. "They are very easy to talk to, they have continued to recruit me as if I wasn't committed."
