After traveling with family for Thanksgiving activities, Utah defensive lineman Sam Bennion took his official visit to Boulder last weekend.

"My visit was good," Bennion told BuffPlayBook.com. "I was a little tired of traveling, from all the Thanksgiving family stuff."

While Bennion had participated in a Buff Summer camp in June, he didn't get the opportunity to take a tour of the CU Athletic facilities.

"I was really surprised by the quality of facilities they have," Bennion said. "Plus they are building a ton of new stuff that will even make it nicer than it already is."

During Bennion's visit he got the chance to see the campus, the community of Boulder and much more.

"I really like how friendly everyone were," Bennion said. "The coaching staff really seems to know what they are doing, it's a great family feeling around this program."

While Bennion will complete his Mormon Mission beginning in January before enrolling at Colorado, he definitely feels that Colorado is the right place for him.

"I feel solid on my commitment," Bennion said. "I'm sure this is the place I want to be."
