Oregon commit takes visit to Colorado

Oregon commit Glen Ihenacho took an official visit to Colorado this past weekend. He has personal ties to the Buff coaching staff, his older brother Duke Ihenacho played for Coach Mike MacIntyre and his coaching staff at San Jose State. Go "Inside" to see what Glen had to say about his visit.

For one current Oregon commitment, there is one school's coaching staff that he is very familiar with due to family ties.

Glen Ihenacho grew up watching his older brother Duke Ihenacho (now a Denver Bronco) play football at San Jose State.

Duke played for Coach Mike MacIntyre, giving the younger member of the family an up close and personal knowledge of the Colorado coaching staff.

"I'm very familiar with the Colorado coaching staff," Ihenacho told BuffPlayBook.com Sunday evening. "I like their coaches a lot, I have been liking them for numerous years now."

While Ihenacho remains committed to the Ducks, it appears that he will take a couple of more visits, or at least one.

"I'm going to visit Miami on January 23rd," Ihenacho said. "I'm still committed to Oregon right now, the visit to Colorado was definitely better than I expected it to be, although I knew I was going to like it. Colorado because of the coaching staff has always been high on my list."

One thing that surprised Ihenacho about the visit was the weather this past weekend.

"After the big cold front last weekend, I expected it to be really cold there all of the time," Ihenacho said. "The weather isn't as bad as people make it out to be in Colorado."

Another thing that impressed the talented defensive back is the new facility upgrades that are in the works at Colorado.

"The new facilities are going to be great," Ihenacho said. "Colorado will have as nice of athletic facilities as anyone else in the conference."

Glen's brother Duke got the opportunity to come up Saturday evening to have dinner with his brother and his former coaching staff.

"My brother thinks the world of Coach Mac and the entire staff," Ihenacho said. "He has a lot of respect for them."
