Christmas was less than 30 days ago, for one 2015 Colorado offensive lineman, he received one of his best gifts on January 8th.
Aurora Regis Jesuit offensive lineman Tim Lynott got word from his high school coach that he had received his first official offer of his recruiting process.
That offer from one of Lynott's favorite schools, the University of Colorado.
"Recruiting is going great," Lynott recently told BuffPlayBook.com. "I got my first offer from CU last Wednesday. I'm was very excited when I found out, it couldn't have come from anyone better."
In fact, Lynott, who took in four Colorado games last fall, was for a loss of words when he got the news.
"I really didn't know what to say," Lynott said. "It's very exciting for me, it's my first offer and that one will always be special to me."
The 6-foot-4, 295-pound lineman is very impressed with the Colorado football program.
"It's amazing, I love Boulder and everything about the entire campus," Lynott said. "I went to four ballgames, the game day experience was incredible."
Lynott also camped at CU this past summer, where he got to know the new coaching staff a lot better.
"They are all great coaches and great men," Lynott said. "I really like Coach Mike MacIntyre and the offensive line coach Gary Bernardi."
According to Lynott, the CU coaches taught him some things that has made him a better player this past season.
"I learned a lot of new different techniques that I used this season," Lynott said. "They taught me a lot of stuff I didn't know, it was a great experience."
Lynott plans on attending Colorado's Junior Day on February 22, is there a chance that the talented lineman could commit early?
"There is a possible chance that I could commit early," Lynott said. "We will just have to wait and see."
