Four-star cornerback visits one of his favorites

Alex Perry's recent trip to Boulder has given him something to think about.

Scout 300 prospect Alex Perry from Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman made headlines recently when he named Arizona State, the program he was previously committed to, his frontrunner heading into a looming decision.

The four-star cornerback hit the road over the weekend to check out one of his other contenders, Colorado, for its highly anticipated BBQ event. The visit, according to Perry's father, went very well and the Buffaloes certainly made another impression.

"It was a nice visit," the elder Perry told "The campus, scenery and new facilities are great. The coaches were cool and the new defensive staff seemed on point. ... Alex stayed an extra day to go to the BBQ (Sunday). He liked it. He has family there. He lived there for a year during middle school."

Perry, the No. 6-rated cornerback in the West Region for the 2017 class, intends to announce a decision before the start of the season but also hopes to take official visits. Bishop Gorman kicks off its schedule Aug. 27 at Cedar Hill, Texas.
