California, Colorado and Mississippi State will get official visits from Penn State commit D.J. Brown

Penn State stays in regular contact with commit D.J. Brown, but other schools are not going away. Brown plans to take official visits and he talks three of those here...

Evaluation notes:  D.J. Brown is a 5-foot-10, 170 pound cornerback out of Fairburn (Ga.) Creekside.  He is the No. 25-ranked cornerback in the South for 2017.  As a corner, Brown is a smart defensive back who could project as a cornerback or nickel on the next level.  What he does well is play within himself.  He is a defensive back with great awareness, he competes at a high level and he plays smart.  There may not be a part of his game that jumps out as elite, but his best trait may be his instincts.  He has a great understanding for the position and his responsibilities there.  He is an aggressive corner, but to be successful there in college, he has to get stronger and better at the line of scrimmage against the bigger wideouts.  He may be best lining up over the slot receiver in college with his size and skill set.  He plays the ball well, he tracks the ball well and he makes plays on the ball.

Schools mentioned in this interview:  CaliforniaColoradoMississippi State and Penn State.
