Four-Star QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson Has ASU, Colorado, Michigan, UCLA and UNLV On Top

Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman athlete Dorian Thompson-Robinson will play quarterback at the next level but he showed he's a talented receiver as well in the Gaels big win over the weekend.

In a game matching two of the top five teams in the nation, Gorman took down a very good Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco squad 35-20. One of the stars of the game was Dorian Thompson-Robinson, who hauled in a pair of touchdown passes.

Thompson-Robinson caught a pair of deep balls from 44 and 49 yards out and has one of the most unique skill sets in the region. He measured out at 6-0, 195 pounds at the Opening Regional Camp last April but looks closer to 6-1, maybe 6-1.5 now and in the 205 pound range.

He's definitely a high level athlete who can run and has play making skills and there is no doubt he could play receiver at the next level. Saying that, we really like his upside quite a bit as a quarterback and feel all he needs is some game experience and polish to really shine at the position.

Physically, he has all the tools you could want, is strong mechanically, a natural leader, tough and has the ability to hurt a defense with his arm or his legs. He looks like a young Donovan McNabb in terms of his frame, skill set and playing style and it should be a lot of fun to watch him take over the Gorman offense next fall.

On the recruiting front, Thompson-Robinson said he would like to make a May decision and said the main schools he's talking with are the Arizona State Sun DevilsColorado BuffaloesMichigan WolverinesUCLA Bruins and UNLV Rebels.
