ARLINGTON, Texas -- Scout features state championship highlights of Colorado four-star commit Laviska Shenault Jr., the No. 276 overall prospect in the 2017 Scout 300.


The above video features highlights of Colorado four-star receiver commit Laviska Shenault Jr. in DeSoto's 38-29 victory against Cibolo Steele in this past weekend's Texas Class 6A Division II state championship at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

The 6-foot-1, 203-pound Shenault Jr. helped DeSoto to a 16-0 record this season and the Eagles' first state championship in program history. Shenault Jr. caught six passes for 104 yards, including a 51-yard touchdown, in the championship win as he played a big role in DeSoto's 525-yard offensive output.

Scout ranks Shenault Jr. as the No. 276 overall prospect in the 2017 Scout 300, as well as the No. 11 receiver in the Lone Star State's loaded senior receiver class.

HIGH SCHOOL CAREER: In two varsity seasons for Texas Class 6A powerhouse DeSoto, Shenault Jr. caught 76 passes for 1,328 yards and 12 touchdowns on 17.4 yards per reception.

2016: Shenault Jr. finished his senior season with 48 catches for 834 yards and nine touchdowns on more than 17 yards per catch as he helped DeSoto to a 16-0 record and the Texas 6A D-I state championship.

2015: Playing receiver, tight end, and H-back, Shenault finished his junior season with 28 catches for 494 yards and three touchdowns, averaging better than 17 yards per reception.
