Chris Darrington ranked No. 20 among all Junior College players during the 2016-17 season with a 20.7 points per game average. The 6-foot-1 guard from Vincennes University in Indiana also averaged 4.6 assists and 3.1 rebounds per contest as a sophomore while shooting 43.3 percent from three-point range and 80.4 percent from the free-throw line.
“I consider myself a point guard but I will move off the ball if my team needs that to win,” Darrington told InsideTennessee.com, which is part of the Scout.com network.
In a text message to BuffStampede.com, Darrington expressed interest in Colorado's offer. A trip to Boulder before he makes a decision is a strong possibility.
Darrington has 10 other offers, including an offer from Memphis, Nebraska and Tennessee.
“I have no order or favorites right now,” he said. “I will sit down with family and those I trust and start to get more serious about a plan going forward.”
The late signing period for basketball begins on April 12 but extends through May 17.
