Logan Johnson Solidifies Stock as One of West's Top 2018 Point Guards

ORANGE, Calif. - The Magic Memorial Day Festival always has a good share of the west's top prospects and this weekend has been no different. On Sunday, Logan Johnson solidified his standing as one of the region's best 2018 point guards.

The Magic Memorial Day Festival has proven to be another showcase for Logan Johnson to solidify his standing as one of the top 2018 point guards on the West Coast.

The 6-foot-2, 170-pound rising senior from Mountain View (Calif.) St. Francis has good size and length, is a plus athlete, can really handle and is an improving shooter.

“My game is improving every day,” Johnson said. “I’m in the gym early in the morning and I’m trying to get better and better.

“I’m seeing the court better and I’m being more of a point guard and a leader on the court. I want to keep improving every aspect of my game.”

Johnson, who has an offer list which includes Fresno State, Utah State, Montana, Colorado and St. Mary’s, doesn’t have any schools at the top of his list.

“I’m wide open,” Johnson said. “I think I’m going to wait until after the summer and before the season.”

The Buffaloes extended their offer just last week.

With Logan’s older brother, Miami Heat guard Tyler Johnson, having already gone through the process, the family will have plenty of experience this time around.

“Me and my family have a feel for what we want so if we think a school is what we want, we’re going to keep them in the mix,” Logan said.
