Texas DT still looking towards Boulder

After scoring no defensive tackles from the prep ranks last year Colorado needs some in a big way this recruiting cycle. A player they have shown interest to in the past is Eric Mikolajchak out of Houston. So far on the year Eric has shown up big for Mayde Creek recording 38 tackles and five sacks in four games. He does have one Big 12 offer and is awaiting others.

The Kansas Jayhawks were the first and only school to extend an offer to Mikolajchak but with a strong senior campaign that could change.

Since the beginning of the month he has heard from Miami, Arkansas, Iowa State, Kansas, and Tulsa. His favorites include a few of those.

"Some of the schools I like right now are A&M, Colorado, Miami, Kansas, and Iowa State. I like a few others too."

Kansas is said to be recruiting the hardest. He has not scheduled any visits yet but says he will start doing so towards the end of the season.

Mayde Creek takes on Aleif Elsik tonight and their emerging star running back Mitch Odom. Odom attended the CU elite camp and was one of the stars there. He is the cousin of current Buff Brian Iwuh but CU already has their tailbacks for this class in the fold. Creek is 2-2 on the year.

Eric carries a 3.2 GPA and has scored a 23 on his ACT. He would like to major in Business or Education.
